Help us keep our education funding!

California is in a fiscal crisis!  Should the Governor's proposed budget be enacted, MBUSD's expenses for 2008-2009 will exceed revenues by $1.6 million.  Join us in telling our California legislators that education is already underfunded and that our funding should not be cut.  We have prepared letters for you to sign and send to Sacramento ASAP.  If you receive one or more packets of letters at your home, please send them all, as each school is covering eight different legislators.  If you do not receive a packet (it was not in our budget to mail to 2,000 families), please download and print letters found on the Grand View PTA website's advocacy page.  Click here to download letters.

Fundraising:NDRAISING:

There are many ways to support your high school:

The Mira Costa Marching Band, which represents our school and community at many venues, needs new band uniforms. The cost of the uniforms $50,000 for the entire band. The Mira Costa Band Boosters needs your help to raise the $50,000 required

to purchase new marching uniforms before the fall 2008 Marching Season begins.

Please visit their website at www.miracostabands.com
